Psychotherapist
Therapy begins with where you are and our path is guided by our understanding of your experiences and your true needs. If you honor me with your trust, to be your therapist, I will support you in this process of self-discovery and growth. We’ll create the space, together, where you feel understood. We’ll have some good humor in that, too! I believe it’s good for the soul; It’s one of the things that makes life feel less overwhelming and even when we need to work through heavy and difficult issues, we’ll use that humor amply!
It takes courage to take the steps to enhance your life and relationships, and I admire my clients for finding the courage to take those steps. I’m grateful for the chance to explore what brings you to therapy and do that important work with you! We’ll find the right understanding, together, and use that to plot the best way forward.

Whether you’ve lost your path or never had one, thank you for considering therapy. This is a safe space for you to process experiences, clarify values, and cultivate purpose and meaning. We will explore your lifestyle, to ensure your choices support your well-being. We will tackle releasing control over the outcome and practice gratitude, to delight in what’s good. We can make art together, to validate what is difficult to speak. And no matter how challenging our situation, we will find a way to laugh, to regain perspective.

Therapy is a space that facilitates growth, and I believe it can be both meaningful and uplifting. I balance the serious moments with some laughter and lightness… healing doesn’t always have to be heavy. We’ll navigate challenges together, whether it’s difficult experiences that need tending to or breaking out of patterns that are keeping you stuck.
We’ll work together to find what feels right for you, moving toward the life you want with humor. My role isn’t to tell you how to live or who to be but to walk beside you as we explore your goals.

Many of us move through life feeling disconnected… from what matters most. We can fall into self-defeating patterns that keep us from a life of meaning.
Therapy with me will be a supportive space where we can explore these patterns and find practical ways to navigate life’s challenges. My approach blends concrete, solution-focused work with deeper reflection on the big questions. Therapy involves some tough work sometimes, but we’ll balance it with humor as you grow into the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Life can often feel overwhelming, and it is especially painful when we feel that we have to find our way alone. I’m here to offer a supportive space where we can face life’s curveballs head-on, working side by side to find your best path and best way to walk down it. Our collaboration will be real and human.
My life has been shaped by a commitment to be there for others and trying to make a positive impact where ever I can. I’m dedicated to be fully present with you during our time together. Your stories, struggles, and triumphs I gratefully receive with empathy and respect. It will be my pleasure to be honored with that sharing. When you’re ready, I’m here to listen.

We’re not going to just cope our way through this life, tip-toeing through it hoping to make it safely to death. We’re going to do something different.
With me, you’ll get real encouragement (a thing in short supply in this age) toward changing the way you think and accountability for ACTING ON IT. Its going to be lively, and you’re going to feel challenged sometimes… but we’ll have a great time doing it!
Me as a therapist? This is the unvarnished truth about me: I am a country type guy, slightly odd in a city like Baltimore, formally credentialed and educated enough to be a psychotherapist. (I’ve got the years of schooling with their degrees, licenses, and insurance. And I did graduate with honors and love to brag about that on occasion, but no one ever cares… should have taken it easy during those school years!) The rest of my knowledge and approach to therapy (the part that matters the most in real practice) is homespun; it’s built on experience with people and self-education, which I value highly and take seriously. My therapy brain is mostly “self-made” and that appeals to some clients and is repellent to others. If you like real things over plastic things, we will get along quite fine.
